Nobody's a fool, so far. We just have a lot of PR noise which has led to as-yet-unexplained bombing in Donbass and we're waiting to see what's next.Yes this is true and Russia are making fools out of west.

I'll bet behind the curtain they're not going to "ignore the tests". I'm sure the men and women in the triad, cyber and space command and all your 3 letter agencies are very busy right now. That would be an unnecessary and dangerous escalation. Again, the best move is to ignore the tests.
Probably, but the same is also true in reverse. Contrary to Russian nationalistic rhetoric through their media, they aren't some arcane infallible entity with perfect planning. This is an environment where mutual misunderstandings can happen in a flash. I suspect that's why the US doesn't even wants it's troops (officially anyway. Who knows what spec ops is doing) in Western Ukraine.I believe that the USA has no idea what Putin is going to do or not. It annoys them
I mean he also has a stutter.Notice how when the reporter asked Biden about the nuclear drills, he stalled for a bit before commenting. Yes a rational person would believe he has no intention on using these weapons for real. I personally believe Putin is losing his damn mind right now which should worry us all immensely.
You can deny and I expect that.Nobody's a fool, so far. We just have a lot of PR noise which has led to as-yet-unexplained bombing in Donbass and we're waiting to see what's next.
I think that's a fear that can be safely laid to rest. Putin's entire history is of a cold, calculating, rational person pursuing his goals. We may object to those goals, but he's not personally insane, any more than the Soviet leaders were insane during last century's crises. The cirucumstances are insane. The MAD acronym has always been apt. It's at once completely rational and all out bonkers.Notice how when the reporter asked Biden about the nuclear drills, he stalled for a bit before commenting. I agree it's not the time. My comment was in-passing. On-topic we continue. You can deny and I expect that.
But nato forces were beaten on acting. Predictions have been proven incorrect. So far exercises as claimed is pretty much all thats happened. He could pack up and go back = nothing but win. Simply by making west look stupid which so far he is achieving. Sanctions won't do squat. As far as military reactions, timing and plans he got the jump. And covered bases. I give round 1 Russia. Most will definitely disagree, just my opinion. If I don't reply to replys.
Its simply because there is no point and at the moment it's not the time to clog up with unnecessary bickering. What people think or say won't change my opinion at this stage. And now isn't the time. Let's see where we're at in 6 days time. Hopefully it may have calmed or escalation time will give true outcomes.
This really does feel like you guys reading too much into this when there's not much there. Joe Biden is literally a crippled old man. He can barely process the words he wants to say. Why do you guys want a nuclear armageddon so badly?Notice how when the reporter asked Biden about the nuclear drills, he stalled for a bit before commenting. I am more concerned that the USA firmly believes what they believe about Russia regardless of anything else. I can't imagine a country being that blind, but it happens.I believe that the USA has no idea what Putin is going to do or not. It annoys them
We apparently are all begging for nuclear Armageddon. Check your translator, that’s not what was stated. This really does feel like you guys reading too much into this when there's not much there. It's not natural for me to consider this possibility either, but maybe it's possible in the sense that it's possible the US doesn't actually have intel and is pretending to in order to carry out a deterrence operation. In a crisis like this, if you don't have intelligence on the opponent's ultimate plans, it's still imperative that you pretend that you do. It's expected of all parties involved, but isn't always possible to procure.I am more concerned that the USA firmly believes what they believe about Russia regardless of anything else. Prudent caution is what you're seeing here, not fear mongering. No one has anything to lose by taking the crisis exactly as seriously as we're taking it. If things resolve themselves without a war, that doesn't mean there was never a risk of war (this misunderstanding happens constantly). Rather, it means that the risks were navigated and the sides found a path for deescalation. No matter our current assessments, I'm fairly confident that's what we all want. This really does feel like you guys reading too much into this when there's not much there. I hear you. The concept of MAD was supposed to be defensive by nature. I firmly believe that Putin would have no problems launching an offensive strike. The current US leadership wouldn’t even think about it. Just my two cents.I think that's a fear that can be safely laid to rest. Exactly. Also, during other crises, the Russians have tried to gain control of the international narrative. By constantly staying in the headlines, the United States is tryings its hardest to show to the world that Russia is being the aggressor. It's not natural for me to consider this possibility either, but maybe it's possible in the sense that it's possible the US doesn't actually have intel and is pretending to in order to carry out a deterrence operation.
