Zelenskyy Cuts Short South African Trip After Massive Russian Strike

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Thursday he is cutting short his official trip to South Africa and returning home after a major Russian strike on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv with missiles and drones killed at least nine people and injured more than 70.

North Korea has confirmed for the first time the deployment of military equipment and troops to Russia in their war against Ukraine, announcing their participation in the “liberation” Kursk under Article 4 of the North Korean–Russian Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership signed in June of 2024. Article 4 of the treaty states that should either nation be “put in a state of war by an armed invasion”, the other will “provide military and other assistance with all means in its possession without delay” in accordance “with Article 51 of the UN Charter and the laws of the DPRK and the Russian Federation.”

on April 26th, with several F-16ADF airframes spotted being loaded onto a Ukraine-operated Antonov An-124 Strategic Airlifter at Davis–Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona, before flying to Rzeszów, Poland. This may be the beginning of F-16 transfers by the United States to Ukraine, with all previous airframes coming from countries in Europe.

 
‼️ Numerous reports are emerging from Crimea regarding widespread drone attacks across multiple locations, significantly exceeding the usual volume observed during such events. While the majority of reports appear to originate from residents in the Sevastopol area, drone attacks have also been reported in Kacha, Yevpatoriya, Saky, Dzhankoy, and several other locations.
