I’m just curious what alls opinion is on the possibility of Iran selling/sending missiles to Russia and if you all feel there will be a nato response?
Iran is selling SRBMs to Russian.
NATO will huff, and they'll puff, but they won't blow in the door with a 100 kiloton nuclear weapon.

NATO doesn't want a war with Russia or Iran, they most they'll do is sanctions.

The only way NATO responds is nuclear use by Russia anywhere or a direct attack on a member. It is that simple.

Speaking of which:

Russia will soon face a hard reality when their banking reserves run out, sooner rather then later too. Which is the only thing keeping their economy afloat right now.

One has to also remember Russian economy is no more bigger then the US state New York.

One should also take into consideration how much the West has seized of that reserve money. Putin didn't think we would go this far sanctions wise and put a lot of his national reserve's in vulnerable places where the West can seize it.

Once those reserve's run out which let's face it there is quite literally no way Russian reserves outlast Western nations economies combined. So Putin needs a out fast before his money reserves run out and he can't afford to run the country anymore.

Which I don't think I need to say what happens when a nation can't pay its bills like military, social programs, infrastructure, and civil servants.

Good points. This all ties in with the big dust up between US and Saudi . Saudia Arabia is in a proxie war with Iran, and were counting on military defense from US if that ever goes hot. Now they’re turning to more of an alliance with Russia, who at this time at least, is allied with Iran. Makes for an uncomfortable threesome.
I think everyone will be rethinking their positions on Russian support and war fighting equipment AKA Garbage

Not sure this is the right place to put this, but British defence secretary has just flown to the US. It was not planned; and when asked, his staff just said: "The MOD does a good job keeping our nation safe at a time of incredible global insecurity”". a bit cryptic, and a tad concerning.

Make of that what you will:

An #India -#Russia joint venture that makes nuclear capable supersonic cruise missiles hopes to bag orders worth $5 billion by 2025, its chairman says
Good luck with that.🤦‍♂️ Many reasons why this is just a dream.

Either from lack of resources/money due to Russia almost entirely funneling it into Ukraine war efforts. Russia can barely refurbish OLD war machines sitting in storage. So desperate that Russia is begging Iran for weapons. Because Russia cannot afford or are incapable of manufacturing new high end weapons.

3 years seems like very very very wishful thinking.

Also Chinese chip industry is on the fritz and will be for a long foreseeable future. So Russia has truly run out of places to get high end chips for high end weaponry manufacturing. Can't get them from Taiwan, Korea, and now China. Russia is (honest to god) royally screwed in that aspect of their military industrial complex.

From the article:
Armed Forces Minister James Heappey said Mr Wallace was meeting with his US counterpart for “the sort of conversations that [are] beyond belief really, the fact we are at a time when these sorts of conversations are necessary”
.

A defence source said: “The Defence Secretary is in Washington DC to discuss shared security concerns, including Ukraine.

He will be visiting his counterpart at the Pentagon and senior figures at the White House “

Would holy crap be appropriate here?

And if indeed Russia is being backed into a corner to the point where they are running out of money, running out of weapons, citizens leaving in droves and the military giving up, I see two scenarios in the near future.

1. Putin is overthrown (This may or may not result in a good scenario for the west)
2. Russia sees no way out at this point and says if we go down, so does everyone else.

If you back a bear into a corner and take away it's ability to survive, only two things will happen. Either the bear will give up and die, or you both will die in the process.

I'm not looking forward to either scenario and before someone chimes in with "Russia invaded Ukraine, it's their fault". Well maybe so, but that doesn't absolve either side of the consequences of where things are headed.
