Some things are worth fighting for.
Some things are worth fighting for.
Can anyone explain what this means in practical terms?Putin introduces martial law in the occupied regions
Well off hand it will be mostly symbolic but I suppose give them legitimacy to haul “conspirators off” Also givens them cover or justification managing resources all travel. It also includes Crimea and 2014 seizures.Can anyone explain what this means in practical terms?
North Korea is not the same. If North Korea uses a nuke we will pulverize the country with conventional attacks and nobody will care.We let Putin get off here, North Korea becomes an unbearable situation. They are already showing signs they will try to nuclear blackmail the world. Iran as well.

One Twitter response summed it up nicely.
This is what they all apparently voted for in these regions.
Curious what you guys think - is this really an important/pivotal development or just more of the everyday crapola?Putin introduces martial law in the occupied regions
Like I said symbolic. I mean after all it’s already open season on impertinent orchestra conductors.This is not symbolic, of course.
- citizens job activities are directed towards military needs;
- everything that could be usefull for military needs is confiscated from people and societies;
- curfew is established with consequences for unallowed mouvements;
- outside the curfew the mouvements are restricted as well and people and motor vehicles could be inspected at anytime;
- military censorship is established;
- any international organization considered hostile is forbidden;
- telephon talks can be controlled;
- interdiction to leave the Country is established.
just to say the most important. there are also other restrictions, for example the interdiction to strike and to make political and religious activities.
But I suspect that in the declaration of the "martial law" could hide in there other "surprises".
The Russian mobilization of 300.000 troops is only the little part... with the recent annexations, those territories are considered as part of Russia, so even conscripts from all over Russia could be used. But it is possibile that, apart from this, the declaration of the martial law could even allow a more extended mobilization in those territories: all of that makes a lot of thousands troops more than those 300.000.
In his sick twisted mind this would prevent any further offenses in the region as the newly flooded region would be uninhabitable for centuries.Looks like Russia is going to blow the dam North of Kherson to create a natural defense barrier. Putin might be crazy enough to use a nuke to make sure job done right. Could blow up ZPP at same time thinking this will shock the war to an end. What fantasy world is he currently visiting?
Russia has been saying for weeks Ukrine has been building dirty bombs and was going to attack the dam and NPP. So start the spin but when they do drop a nuclear bomb as retaliation don't think it wont esclate quickly. I dont want this and we should withdraw all support for Ukraine. This is already happening slowly in the EU and by spring it will be only a few.In his sick twisted mind this would prevent any further offenses in the region as the newly flooded region would be uninhabitable for centuries.
Sorry to puncture your wet Russian Nationalistic wish, the cost of such operation would be to great for RussiaIn his sick twisted mind this would prevent any further offenses in the region as the newly flooded region would be uninhabitable for centuries.
what part of what he wrote was pro-russianSorry to puncture your wet Russian Nationalistic wish, the cost of such operation would be to great for Russia
So just let Russia gobble up any country they want because Russia threatens with a nuke. Where does it stop?I dont want this and we should withdraw all support for Ukraine.
This is what I’m so confused about with some people. They’d prefer we just simply don’t support Ukraine, give it all to Russia and hope that that’s the end of possible conflict between the United States and Russia forever. What happens if they’re given the space and ability to build an effective military over the next 20 years and decide to team up with China ? There will most certainly be no sitting that one out. We need to as a world stand up to communist dictators and end this now. How many times has appeasement worked?So just let Russia gobble up any country they want because Russia threatens with a nuke. Where does it stop?
Well it should stop with NATO countries. The rest are fair game. Nobody seriously believes that if Putin gets Ukraine that he's going to then attack a country in NATO. Destabilize politically sure but that's also something in our play book. And for those countries not in NATO, well that's the way it is. They aren't in NATO for a reason.So just let Russia gobble up any country they want because Russia threatens with a nuke. Where does it stop?
Because they aren't in our club, too bad for them?Well it should stop with NATO countries. The rest are fair game.
Fair enough It was the wrong person I quotedwhat part of what he wrote was pro-russian
cmon man go back and read it again
