A commercial ship sank and its crew vanished Tuesday after an apparent coordinated air-and-sea drone attack off NATO member Bulgaria, as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy blamed Russia before warning Moscow was preparing a broader "massive strike."
A second vessel was also heavily damaged and set ablaze inside Bulgaria’s exclusive economic zone, with a drone expert warning the dual precision strikes signaled a dangerous escalation and possible "larger invasion posture" by Russia.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov: When we issued a very clear statement in response to threats from the Baltic and other NATO members to attack the Kaliningrad Region, we were immediately assured that the Alliance had no plans, and could have no plans, to attack Russia, and that NATO was, supposedly, a defensive alliance.
We have heard many times that NATO is a defensive alliance, yet that did not prevent the attacks on Yugoslavia, Afghanistan or Libya.
