Instead of claiming asylum, I think we'd have to put any MPs who vote for him INTO an asylum.
I mean how mad do you have to be to bring back a PM who has been voted out for breaking a law he passed?

While I am appalled and embarrassed at my governments failure. The US is hardly doing well with the Dementia Patient in Chief a lot of people in the UK view him as a joke. The man was playing with his tongue at the Queens funeral. Trump is obnoxious as hell but knowingly replacing him with a men who is going senile was not a wise choice and a VP that was chosen to tick demographic boxes. So the US has no room to talk about having strong leadership. Didn't the First Lady get booed at a major sports game recently?
Over here I get feeling nobody cares about the War in Ukraine. People care about the price of food and their energy bills.
I am not American. But I feel sad that the US is spending Billions to Ukraine while their people are struggling to make ends meet, especially after printing all that money because of the COVID lockdowns, a major reason why we are in this mess. The COVID experts went power mad and I think many of the lockdowns were unnecessary and have tanked the economy.

Can't say I liked any of the candidates for Prime Minister during the leadership contest and Truss certainly wasn't near the top of the list. I believe with this going on now, and Boris Johnson previously, it helps Labour get a good foot in the door for winning the next general election which I am hopeful for. Just wanting something different and I'm not really for one party or the other usually but after a few mess ups it's time to give the other side a go. They're both very similar in terms of what we know needs to be done, just different ways for it. Government is still strong, and both sides agree on the main issues. Energy prices, inflation/costs of living, Ukraine/Russia and previously covid.
Not particularly worried about the future, I know our government can do anything to sort it out being one of the strongest in the world it's just how much damage we have to face after the storm is weathered. Wish you the best all.

I was metaphorically speaking. Russia is waiting to pounce and take advantage on any chance they got of a weakened or troubled West.
A UK currency crash and/or market crash would be such a event Russia could take advantage of.

They already are. They no the average person doesn't care about the war in Ukraine. People hate Putin but also dislike their own western governments for interfering in Ukraine promising Ukraine things I don't the west can deliver without starting WWIII.
I personally thing Putin is crazy for starting the War in the first place. He got Crimea and parts of East Ukraine. Did he really think the Ukrainians would submit? My only theory is he wanted control and destroy Ukraine Natural resources that would supplied Europe and made them less reliant on Russia. Its only thing I think makes sense. I think this notion of wanting to rebuild the Soviet Union is bullshit. Its about Gas and Oil.

UK PM is still way longer than the shortest Australian PM. Frank Forde just lasted 7 days. He was a labour PM and they named a small park just down from me after him. A small piece of land that was of no use for anything else.

I'd like a General Election. Its clear the Tories are done. Not that I think Labour will magically make everything better over night, but the Tories are done for now and I don't think people will accept Boris back especially so soon.

She inherited a shitstorm it's not her fault. The same outcome is more than likely for the next PM unless the UK gets it shit together.
England has been on a very deep slide in degradation of the value of their currency and Market. It is years of bad policy that has put them in this position.
The public no longer trusts the government in UK and therefore no matter who takes the helm,... there are too many problems for them to fix. So every new prime minister is virtually set up to fail.
It has me quite concerned since the UK is a very important pillar in propping up the Western economy. If their currency degrades or devalues anymore I fear the worst.
It's not so much the market crash I worry about it is the currency crash or possible collapse in the UK currency due to lack of faith in the government and money/currency from runaway inflation trying to cope with such a turbulent crash. Double whammy i.e currency & market.

Liz Truss crashed the stock market by giving tax cuts to the highest rate of income tax. There's a "cost of living crisis" due to energy prices stemming from the war in Ukraine. I didn't vote for the Conservatives but one way or another I just hope we have someone who can be a steady influence with some morality.
A general election would be good in theory but I feel we actually need someone making decisions.
