Would you please elaborate why do you believe Russia has no money and resources to justify a hoax (considering it is a hoax, which I also doubt)? As of 3 weeks ago, Russian strategic reserve hit history record of 639 600 000 000 USD. That's about 5 million USD per each soldier claimed to be on the border of Ukraine.
 
In my opinion , Russia can’t afford a full on incursion but can afford to flex it muscles to force the conversations and that is what it’s doing , however if it doesn’t get what he wants then they could be pushed over the edge

Then explain why Russia has flown the exact strike and bomber aircraft WITH nuclear weapons onboard to Syria, to destroy the NATO strike group in the Aegean? The one they currently have pinned in with their Slava cruiser groups!

They know if the NATO group decides they want to go through the Suez or head out of the Med they will have to get the hell out of the way or be stupid as hell and attack.

Russia did this to prevent them from getting near Ukraine.

That crap is NEVER, EVER pulled for an exercise!!

Hold on, why would Putin even want to use Kinzhal against NATO? To start a nuclear war?

In my opinion these drills were to test long-range deployment, fast missile mount and to send a signal that Russia is capable of deploying Kinzhals in Syria within less than 12 hours.

Edited: removed the part with unconfirmed statement.

Editing my post. The source I provided shares opinion and can't be considered as a fact. Since both types of planes (Mig and Tu) were deployed, it could be easily carried in Tu and mounted on Migs. Sorry for confusion.

The TU-22 s main job is to fly fast at low level and fire it’s cruise missiles at NATO carriers and other warships! They deployed to Syria because it’s the only place they could to face down the Carriers and not be shot down on their way to attack the carriers!

The Mig-31 is also going to fill that roll since at can easily keep up with the Backfires at low level for a little while but they do not have to make that run far with the range of the missiles they are carrying.

They dam sure are there to combat anything in Syria. It also prevents the NATO strike group from sinking the Russia fleets.

This is all being done because Russia want to keep nato out of its invasion of Ukraine
