I'm personally not that worried. Even if the reactor and containment building is blown sky high, you won't see many cases of radiation sickness (it'll mainly be people near the plant). You'll see a huge uptick in cancer cases.

But the biggest thing you'll see is panic in the West. After Chernobyl, there was a fair bit of panic. Children were told to stay indoors in Germany, sheep in some parts of the UK were killed by the government.
Imagine that panic, but multiplied by 10 because we live in the age of social media.

It would cause absolute chaos in the West, even though you might only get a handful of cancer cases in Eastern Europe in the future (if that!). The worst of the cancer cases will be in Ukraine.

The cancer victims won't show up for a few years.

Ukraine has put plans in place to evacuate residents of several oblasts in the event Russia carries out an attack at the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets said on national television, the Ukrainian media outlet New Voice reported.

Well there is just nothing you can say other than that would be really bad.
I hope the official is incorrect.

It would have worse long term effects than a tactical nuke I fear.
And the demand for nato to physically intervene would be very strong.

I have never been one to wish or hope for Russia to be invaded or see their government collapse. Or even for Putin’s head on a platter.

But destroying a nuke plant and the possible radioactive issue would change the hole nature and end game for Russia.
 
We are picking up the concerning markers incoming from Ukrainian media out of the blue.

Ukraine media, through many of it's sources, is suddenly being heavily filled with radiological security warnings and guides to radiological disasters.

Their offensive is failing, we expect a false flag on NPP. They might do something to NPP's, and the whole world due to media will believe them anyway.
The probabilities of it are higher than ever because of the following reasons:
  • Current counteroffensives are showing that proxy-war through Ukraine is not enough to break Russian defences. Whole Ukraine war machine has become defected due to NATO mistakes, and needs reconfiguring which will take years. Or it needs the whole NATO effort with it's full airpower going hot.
  • Both sides seem to be tired of war, yet at the same time not being ready to stop it. They search for a reason to stop this, but simply freezing this conflict will make it too simple to catch-on for later.
  • Major ecological disaster might be the thing they seek to call for a cease-fire. This, also will put a huge keystone for justifying future war against Russia, when NATO reinforce the Ukraine military, especially it's airpower with F-16 and such.
  • Ukraine power does not care for it's people anyway. It is a puppet regime that was established through a violent coup and fucntions only to wage war.
  • Russian side will have to comply. Russia will become even more heavily sanctioned.
  • Nuclear disaster will create an established grey-zone around certain area and will bring attention of many worldwide security organisations. It is no secret that they are in fact no neutral , like OSCE that used to collect intel on Donetsk\Lugansk side and shared it with Ukrainian military. This might be handy for Western side.
  • Most recent meeting of Zelensky with Mike Pence and Greta Thunberg in it is interesting. This face will scream at Russia for doing it, the louder - the better. Maybe media campaign is already under development. In the end it does not matter if someone speaks the truth or not, it's only a matter of who yells louder.
The other scenario including radiological disaster might have the use of a dirty bomb against Russia, but that won't bring much other than chaos and useless escalation which Ukraine and their benefactors won't be able to exploit well like in the case mentioned above.

Another concerning part of it is that this attack might be prepared not by the actual regime of Ukraine:
You see, despite undergoing brutal political purging, Ukraine still has other faction within power who are hostile to Russia as well, but seek to halt this conflict for now. It's Poroshenko's guys. And it's influence within military is likely high enough, their soldiers are tired of this conflict and may work on cease-fire attempt short-tempered, despite facing long lasting concequences. So the Russians are not the only one who might do an internal stirrup, Ukraine is ready for it as well, even though faced externally rather than riding with forces into the capital. This might also give them an opportunity to get rid of Zelensky and continue the war with reinforced army later.

Yes this is in fact a wild crazy take and something that might not happen, just marking it here for the future. And to warn people about what some markers rising in media might lead to.
 
Good Evening! i have some news to share with yall about the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. So there are reports that Ukrainians are preparing for a Nuclear Disaster. Ukraine and Russian Controlled areas that were annexed which are Donestk, Kherson, Luhansk and especially Zaporizhzhia. The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant remains to have explosives in 4 out of the 6 reactors. Videos and Articles from different sources such as Youtube and Tiktok. this Evacuation order is allegedly irreversible. Joey Contino on TikTok
