Recent Chinese Protests

How are these videos getting out? I thought china had control over the internet there.
 
The CCP has survived worse. Tiananmen square comes to mind.
As much as I'd like to see an end to communist rule in China, I don't think these protests will do it.
Your likely correct in the long run. But imagine Tiananmen sq with the internet.
Then factor in on top of that the past two years of lockdowns and economic hardship.
I can’t say if any of this will result in any significant clashes with government and change.
What I can say it is the manifest belief of the CCP that any type of domestic unrest is categorically the single greatest threat to them.

It will be interesting to see how long, and how far Xi lets things go. I doubt it will be for much longer. This might be a good test of just how much power Xi locked up during the just finished conference.

Well he managed to get two of his people directly appointed to the standing committee (completely skipping the politburo) so I would say that's a good indicator of how well he's consolidated his power.
