Might? 😂 I hope Europe has its shit together because I can see it now, literally, Trump may very well call Putin and say "I don't care what you do anymore, where done in Europe, you stay out of South America and we will have no problems." Just saying...

We have already gone through this. Trump doesn't have to vote yes in invoking article 5 and even if he did, he could just send 1 advisor and that would fulfill our technical commitments.

This little thing that keeps coming to mind throughout this whole war in regards to Europe, "cause & effect". Something European governments should really learn.

👉You know they would have had more say if they joined. Because threatening to remove ongoing/active military support has WAY MORE LEVERAGE than not joining at all and stonewalling.

Typical European government shortsightedness.
 
Literally, the entire purpose of creating NATO was to defend Western Europe from Russia. That's the sole reason the US has bases and troops there. If Spain isn't going to let us use their airspace, we should leave. The same with the rest of Europe. The world has changed and the continent is more of an economic liability than a strategic asset at this point -- the Europeans just haven't realized it yet.

Also Trump has within his authority without Congress to move US military troops/assets/ect. look no further than Iran. So he can easily order the US out of any county in Europe or all of Europe if he so ordered it. Sure he can't quit NATO without Congress. But he can quite literally 'end it all but in name' if he really wants.

The thing is, even if next president is a DEM. Problem is once troops are moved, it's hard to get them back. Easier to withdraw than to deploy. Even more so if those troops and equipment skip 'go' and go directly to Asia.

We are simply saying, we should just let Europe deal with them. We have bigger fish to fry in Asia. And better yet since Europe doesn't want to be there fighting a common enemy with us right now. How can we trust them to fight China with us later. Sorry. It's over NATO/Europe. This was the final nail in coffin.

Have fun on your own and hope you can quickly get your act together before Putin smells a opportunity because frankly everyday your (EU Govs.) giving us more reason to care less and less.

The problem of Iran could be solved very quickly by getting off oil. Move to a different fuel, OPEC dies, and Iran has no funding. Neither does Russia, so solve a lot of that problem as well.

What specifically does it say in the Budapest Memorandum about spending millions in military aid on Ukraine.

And while yes I’ve supported defense of Ukraine based largely on the Budapest Memorandum. Even to the measure of direct military intervention.

But nothing stipulates spending 100’s of millions in military aid.

Where the conversation lost me was the implied spending of treasure for the benefit of another country.

IF the prospect of what the Middle East might look like without a terrorist sponsor of Iran constantly threatening regional security is not motivation.

What good are memorandums that are not respected by the majority of its signatories.

How have people still not read the Budapest memorandum? All it says, is that the signatories would take any violations to the UN Security Council. That’s it. There is absolutely ZERO requirement for them to do anything beyond that, which is the reason Ukraines president at the time said this would happen.

Honestly, the U.S. should pull out of the entirety of Europe. Europeans have been complaining about us being there for the past 30 years anyway so let’s leave, whatever happens to them afterwards is not our problem.

👉The important part is we just simply have bigger fish to fry in Asia. There is no reason why Europe can't handle Russia on its own. Together their military and and economies together out weigh Russia literally ten fold. So what the hell we still doing there while a awaking China keeps creeping in the Pacific almost unchecked.

Irregardless how anyone even myself feels about Europeans the main problem is is we can't split focus there's ZERO reason why the Europeans can't handle Russia while we take care of China in the Pacific.

It just makes it all that easier or all that better because now they don't even want us there. So what the hell we waiting for. Nostalgia's only good for TV, movies, and music, not policy.

Get all the business who have billions invested in China, and contributed to JOBS leaving the USA
pull out of Latin america
Pull out of the ME, Med, Asia,

Skip needing rescources from other nations,
