That would be the expected response from Russia in any case. We’re still waiting for official confirmation of any of the reported events in Belgorod today.

Yes.

Though it is confirmed some kind of skirmish, uprising, or major sabotage is occurring within Belgorod Oblast. Russia has not denied it but accused Ukraine of this, and Ukraine deneies involvment. Which confirms something indeed is happening through their messaging.

Everything else is unconfirmed like, Russia moving nukes, or other nations recognize Belgorod as a independent nation.

To sum it up... It is confirmed by Russia and Ukraine something is happening in Belgorod. But what, why, or who is to be determined.

No way anyone or any source can know anything beyond "something" is occurring in Belgorod Oblast Russia.

Interesting how the media's relatively quiet about this one. I checked a bunch of US and international media sites and there's hardly any mention of the Belgorod situation or it's buried very deeply. CNN had a headline up "situation very tense in Russia" for a short time and 30 minutes later it was replaced by one on the debt ceiling. Surprised as usually they are more than ready to bite on a situation like this.

Even tabloids like the Sun and the Daily Mail are quiet, and they're usually screaming armageddon when something big happens in Russia.

This is when it’s important to keep a level head concerning reports, but also to continue paying close attention.

An armed group has crossed from Ukraine into Russia's Belgorod region and clashes there have injured a number of people, Russian authorities say. Local governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said Russian forces were searching for "saboteurs" who, he said, had attacked Grayvoronsky district by the border. Vladimir Putin's spokesman said the Russian president had been informed.Ukraine denies responsibility and said Russian citizens from two paramilitary groups were behind the incursion. Mr Gladkov said eight people had been hurt, including two people admitted to hospital after a village was shelled and three people who were hit by shrapnel in the town of Grayvoron. Fighting had also damaged three houses and a local administrative building, and the situation remains "extremely tense", he said.

US distances itself from Ukraine’s cross-border raid
The US State Department said on Monday that Washington does not support attacks outside Ukraine’s borders, after being asked about the raid by a group of saboteurs into Russia’s Belgorod Region.
“We have made very clear to the Ukrainians that we don’t enable or encourage attacks outside Ukrainians’ borders, but I do think it’s important to take a step back and remind everyone, and remind the world, that it – of course it is Russia that launched this war,” Miller told reporters in the daily briefing.
”So, it is up to Ukraine to decide how they want to conduct their military operations, but it is Russia that has been the aggressor in this war,” he added.
