Discussions --Lead Up to Talks & US Military Intervention Against Iran Nuclear Facilities Threatened When Talks Fail

Other than some inconveniently located air defense the strike targets are nowhere near the embassies or the capital for that matter.
This too. Besides for terror attacks don't forsee much threat to the embassies in the middle east being in direct military threat from Iran. Their missiles are not that 'precise' and Iran is quite far away from everyone but Iraq really. Drones are a issue. But think the drones will be used on Israel or US bases, not embassies.

If you can’t understand the president United States saying ~’we are going to bomb you like no one‘s ever been bombed before’ and your advisors cannot convey that meaning to you, we can’t help you.
Oh we can help. 💥 Help the Alatollah terrorist leadership to their next life. ☠️🔥

It's just unfortunate we will see yet again a terrorist state commit national suicide against it's own innocent people. Alatollah will bring every last Iranian citizen down with them if they can. The Alatollah are true terrorist scumbags and can NEVER be aloud to have nuclear weapons.

Other than the submarines that are going to help rain hell. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that most of the US Navy is here to play defense for when Iran inevitably launches attacks against Israel in retaliation.
The US Navy is also there to stand off the Russians and defend our interests and allies from Iranian surface attacks.

Killing the leadership is rarely helpful. They have their own sort of government and it is not changing course overnight like a true dictatorship can.

You need to hold them in fear. Not a feat they will ever admit to but rather one that keeps them awake at night when they and the little boys around them should be in their post coitus slumber.

Lets say my comment was in regards to my gutt feeling things will go sideways. *IF* they do. I'm sure Israel or US knows exactly where those cowardly scumbags are hiding in which hole in the ground and snuff them out.

Yes it's not helpful 'in grand scheme of things', but it is a propoganda score both for at home and against the enemy.

So if the war widens against Iran, then if anything in Gaza/Lebanon is to show us what is to come for Iran, killing terrorist leaders is fantastic for wartime moral and Iranian leaders should know if they choose to go down the war path their time is up. Will just make deals with the people who replace them. Just as Israel does with Hamas.

Military transport aircraft with the U.S. Air Force’s Air Mobility Command (AMC), most originally coming from Osan Air Base in South Korea, are continuing to arrive today in the Middle East, this includes a C-5M “Super Galaxy” currently crossing Turkey. Over two dozens flights originating from Osan have arrived at Isa Air Base in Bahrain, as well as other U.S. and allied air bases in the region over the last week, believed to likely be carrying air-defense systems, such as the U.S. Army’s MIM-104 “Patriot” surface-to-air missile system and/or the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-ballistic missile defense system.
Getting flash-backs of the night right before Russia invaded Ukraine. None stop intense cargo flights. 👀

It has been nonstop for a month. The media has just picked up on it. (Or I suppose, just now choose to report on it.)
I mean over 2 dozen (known) flights in just little over a day? I don't think so.

Not saying there hasn't been regular air traffic since the build-up, logistics an all.

But that seems a little much (over 2 dozen in a day) to be routine or for it to have been going on so long that intensly without anyone noticing...

I have said my piece. It and you are not at odds or mutually exclusive.

You are looking here while the other hand is *here*. Movements are not up today. The movements you are aware of and are within the scope of notice, perhaps are.

Global Airlift has been balls to the wall* for quite some time. Ordinance is being delivered to defensive locations first. Remote locations second. Multiple, abundant and discretionary locations third.

You are seeing the third atm.

This is the nice to have stuff that your mom shows into her purse as she pushes the family out the door for the vacation flight that we’re already late for.

*not even remotely obscene. Engine control rods use to have glass balls on the ends. You pushed them against the firewall

My 2¢ YMMV

'Reckless, belligerent': Iran complains about Donald Trump's threat to UN - The Times of India

I believe they are not wrong. It’s is a violation of the relevant UN charter to threaten military force whilst lying and the invading like Russia is apparently not. See an issue here?

I know they were paying attention because they did say “President Trump” what I don’t understand is how they would use the words President Trump with “threaten” Im thinking Iran can put that down in stone tablet as its more of a promise than a threat.

Russia and China only have small contingency of 3-5 ships and both seem married to their port interest in the gulf and Djebouti.

Taken solely as an airlift of air and air defence it seems to be the largest lift in the Mideast since the Iraqi invasion.

Needs to stay that way, for a while. That said the last time we were pounding the snot out of the Iranian navy there was a Russian ship that sailed right through the combat and said they were just here to take notes. (That was back in the 80s)
It always reminded me of a scene in The Longest Day* where the nuns walk right through the middle of a battle in the middle of the city.

(somebody out there help me! I might have the movie wrong but it’s a black-and-white movie if it’s not the longest day then it’s a bridge too far or something like that)

There’s never been more strategic air power outside the United States post Cold War, that I am aware of.

That’s keeping in mind that half of it is not forward deployed as it will be doing round trips from the US.

Of course the Bone doesn’t need to be moved to the start line because it’s supersonic baby, speed of heat.

You’re absolutely right, this level of firepower concentrated outside the U.S. is unprecedented since the Cold War. Even during the 2003 invasion of Iraq while there was a massive deployment of forces it wasn’t this lopsided in terms of strategic air power.

What’s happening now is crazy. This is a rapid buildup of high end, precision strike capabilities; B-1s, B-52s, F-22s, F-35s, aircraft carriers, and now a surge of cargo planes moving supplies across multiple theaters. This kind of force projection isn’t about protracted ground war. This is about achieving air dominance and rapid destruction of high value targets with minimal if not no boots on the ground.

Even the buildup prior to Desert Storm in 1991 doesn’t compare to this, at least not in terms of raw aerial firepower positioned so quickly and so strategically. Back then, we had months to move everything into place. This is happening in weeks.

The only other comparison that even comes close might be the nuclear readiness posture during the Cuban Missile Crisis, but even that was a Cold War standoff, not an active lead up to a possible kinetic conflict like this.

If this is just about Iran’s nuclear facilities, the firepower is overkill. But if it’s about preparing for a wider regional war or deterring multiple adversaries (Iran, Hezbollah, Houthis, and maybe even Russia or China trying to take advantage), then this level of force projection makes sense.

👉 It's unnerving because this isn’t just a show of force, it’s preparation for something that could spiral well beyond a limited strike.

It’s about smothering irans air and offensive and defensive missile forces Naval as well.

If we do end up striking Iran it might best be called neutering Irans military.

I actually think it’s about right if you want to damage and destroy as much of Iran’s nuclear capability as you can. Iran and spent close to 20 years dispersing their facilities. They have done a good job of fortify their structures and burying as much as possible. Some of these sites and there are hundreds, are going to take many strikes in the same locations again and again to reach their targets. We’re talking about thousands of sororities here.

The undertaking is mind blowing and quite frankly there’s only one country on earth that could even come close to attempting it. Israel could hit a few sites and buy some time. We can destroy, damage and bury much of it so that they be set back years if not decades.

It’s gonna take a hell of a lot of ordinance when we really should be stockpiling for China.

You know all we’re gonna get for our troubles is the rest of the world condemning us even as they breathe a sigh of relief.
