I have seen how extremists (including those that call themselves "journalists") can threaten the lives of vulnerable individuals with their doxxing tactics.
It is one thing to go after one of us (ourselves), but to go after individuals families' and their safety threatened is another issue.
During advocacy for human rights, I have been doxxed numerous time, with many death threats, on my home, etc. by extremist groups of various labels.
They have also tried to go after my family, etc.
Whether you like/agree with Musk or not, to those who find all of this "amusing," trust me if you are on the receiving end, you would get a very different perspective.

This idea in the dystopian 21st century that the World Wide Web so many of us worked to build to share information - should be a tool to advocate violence and attacks on vulnerable people is really a disgrace. And then on the other side of their mouths, many of the same advocates of doxxing and persecution of people's homes and families, the same people will be "shocked, shocked" at a growing culture of violence and disrespect for human rights.

Universal Human RIghts are based on a foundation of shared Reason and Conscience.
Not just "rights for me," and "get" your political adversary "by any means necessary."
That is advocacy for Power, not advocacy for Human Rights - by using "Free Speech" to slander and encourage threats of violence.
In many countries that seek cohesive societies, they consider that to be "criminal" behavior.

As to those who want the takedown of Twitter, that is also the advocacy of silencing the voice of the Ukraine people. I am certain Putin would encourage that.

Most of the story's or events being told (first person) of the suffering in Ukraine and where most read them are on alternative social media platforms like Reddit, Telegram, Rumble, ect where they can tell the truth in brutal gruesome detail on how Russia is coming genocide and warcrimes without being censored.

With the greatest respect, that is actual baloney. The singular reason that the Ukraine people's voice is being heard is NOT due to "Reddit, Telegram, Rumble, etc.", and the political USA media would gladly find another USA political scandal to monofocus on while Ukraine people are suffering. Look at this absurdity over Elon Musk, for example. Death of children, whether it is in Ukraine, USA, Russia, or anywhere else... is a MUCH LOWER priority that the political "get them" stories that the USA political media loves so much. And the "cable news television" :rolleyes: - would find ANYTHING to argue about with their "journalistic" version of a continuing "Jerry Springer Show" impersonation.

Twitter is literally the world news lifesaver for the Ukraine people.

You want to help Putin the most? Silence Twitter. I am surprised that Russia has not already done so.

Twitter has become a joke and majority of users know this. Weather it be the check mark, policies, rules, or how Elon runs Twitter with his own emotions, and lack of moderators.

It is a real strategic victory for cruel Russia and tyrant Putin to see USA political media attacking the Twitter social media, which is the only meaningful and consistent voice of the Ukraine people during the Ukraine-Russia War.
But of couse, as some would indicate, the Ukraine people don't need Twitter - they can go to Reddit, Telegram, Rumble, etc.
