Ethics, Morals, Values - Their Effects on Humanities Future

No he's right I'm not answering the question. But can't give a reasonable one. Like I said you can ask me when will pigs fly. But kinda redundant.
No, he is literally using the appealing to stone fallacy. Argumentum ad lapidem.

Over time. Due to accompanying changes in either technology, quality of life, and life expectancy.
BUT child molestation will not become okay again, it is archaic from a sad and depressing time of humanity.

Because we live much longer. Only way it happens as I said before society ends or somehow overnight all human life expectancy goes back to 30's overnight.

Muslim countries allow marriage (and sex) at age nine.

Since morality is defined by society, it must be okay.
Its wrong. Its just because of their religion most muslims or muslim nations have not been able to get out of that rut or progress loop.

They don't have to do that anymore since people live longer then 30 years old. But because their scripture and religion said 2000 years ago that it was okay they have not been able to move forward or progress.

But society defines morality. So how can it be wrong?
Because most the world has deemed it wrong because we live much longer. They are again stuck in a rut because of their religious beliefs where made when people lived to like 22 years old. So they won't change even though it is wrong because they are to blinded by their faith.

I'm very glad the West didn't go down this road. The West dumped the bible and changed with the times. I mean could you imagine if we followed the bible here as law?

Everyone would be in jail or stoned to death even your most die hard fellow Christians. Has your wife cut her hair lattly? Does your wife wear Jean's? Do your children disobey you? Have you had sex or any kind if sexual interaction before being married? Have you yourself ever disobey your father?

Yea that's right. IF YOU SAID YES TO anyone of those questions means you would be stoned to death, your wife stoned to death, and your children stoned to death.

They won't unless society ends or world life expectancy goes back to living in your 30's.
You're still avoiding the question. I suggest that it is because you don't like the answer.

Either you accept that society determines morality and you would be okay with pedophilia if society said so.
Or, more likely, you don't believe society determines morality. You have your own set of morals that just happens to coincide with society. But the day society deviates from them, you'll stand against it.

Nothing wrong with the second choice. Most people are like that.

Personally, I acknowledge a higher morality. That from God. He decides what is moral and what is not. Children were incapable of marriage so pedophilia is not okay. Homosexuality is not okay. Sex outside of marriage is not okay. Not paying fair wages is not okay. Ignoring the poor is not okay. All these things come from God. But since society rejects God, they reject his morality.

I think DN is trying to emphasize that there are inherent HUMAN core values that everyone that is sane embraces. Societal norms change because they are circumstantial, the norms we hold as human beings, are not easy to change in the SLIGHTEST. And I think this is evident with abortion rights. Christians believe that Sane humans should see abortion as immorally wrong, and people disassociated from Christianity have grown to include abortion as a societal norm that can be more flexible than a defined human core value. But it takes a long time for this to happen and quite often it is a very turbulent path that can progress in either direction. Look at human sacrifices and animal sacrifices. Completely normal in ancient societies, and taken as something that was core to our religious and cultural practices. Now animal cruelty is on the taboo level of pedophilia practically, because (most) societies moved away from these practices. But it took thousands of years. If anything we have grown tremendously in dealing with child neglect and child abuse as a species in the last century. Lgbtq+ culture is not going to doom the human race I’m sorry to say….

You betcha.

Well said.

It might end some peoples own world(s). Though not the world itself. 🤣 BUT we are not discussing the gays. We are discussing pedophilia. Different.

But we as a society moved away from it. We as a society determined that cruelty to animals is not acceptable. So again, in 3000 years we decide that animal cruelty is okay, will you be okay with it?
