We (the US as soon as the new sheriff takes all over) and Israel can always go back to killing them if that happens. We could just guarantee to Hamas that their bodies will be free….free of the requirement to respirate.
I think the deal is great. Bring home all the poor SOB’s that have spent so long among savages. Additional comeuppance and corrective measures can be applied later.
To do list:
•Free the hostages. Promise anything.
• Then just kill Hamas anyways.
(Hamas supporters will just have to consider the promise not to kill them as being made under duress.)

IMO Hamas is dragging out the time before they have to announce that either: the American hostages are dead or the are missing (read dead) at which point the ceasefire will…cease as Trump manages expectations for the next four years worth of hostage negotiations.
