Nuclear loop flushing has begun at China’s Changjiang Nuclear Power Plant Unit 4, a Hualong One reactor under construction in Hainan. The work is a key pre commissioning milestone before cold and hot functional testing. Changjiang Units 3 and 4 are scheduled to be fully operational in early 2027.

Canada launched a national Nuclear Energy Strategy targeting construction of up to ten new large scale reactors, with two under construction by 2035 and five more planned or under development by 2040. ČEZ has established a new subsidiary, ČEZ Energy, beginning a restructuring intended to leave the company’s electricity generating assets including its nuclear plants and new nuclear projects under COMPLETE state ownership.

CEO Daniel Beneš said Czech nuclear investment through 2050 could exceed CZK 2 trillion, covering two new Dukovany units, potential large reactors at Temelín and SMRs at nuclear and former fossil generation sites.

The U.S. Department of Energy issued a conditional $17.5 billion nuclear supply chain financing commitment intended to accelerate deployment of ten Westinghouse AP1000 reactors across five prospective project sites.
