With Russia now busy with Kazakhstan, it can theoretically reduce the threat to Ukraine. It also presents a problem to Russia as the insurgents want to move away from Russia and possibly look to the West, something that happened in Ukraine which Russia is not happy about and doesn't want to happen again in another country.

So basically this is causing all sorts of problems for the Kremlin.

I don't know if the word "worse" is the right one. Certainly "complicated" fits. "Uncertain" would be another one.

What is Russia going to do if Kazakhstan falls? Invade? Nothing? What does this mean for Ukraine? Russia backing off? Asserting its dominance?

In the end, I don't see Kazakhstan falling. We'll see.

I don't think so. In case of Kazakhstan, Russia can use 31st Air Assault Brigade and Special Purpose Unit"Vityaz", perhaps also 3st and/or 24st Special Purpose Brigade. Together with Kazakhstan's 37st and 38st Air Assault Brigades (which liberated the Almata airport earlier today) this should be enough to stabilize the situation. There is no need for large scale intervention. In other words, this military operation definitely will not affect Russian preparations in the West (Ukraine).
 
BREAKING! CSTO will send peacekeepers to Kazakhstan.

In connection with the request of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.-Zh.K. Tokayev and in view of the threat to national security and the sovereignty of the Republic of Kazakhstan caused, inter alia, by outside interference, the CSTO Collective Security Council, in accordance with Article 4 of the Collective Security Treaty, decided to send Collective peacekeeping forces of the CSTO in the Republic of Kazakhstan for a limited period of time in order to stabilize and normalize the situation in this country.

So, i've been sleeping for several hours and i thought it could get worse at certain degree when i wake up next morning, but NOT THAT WORSE - and i don't even finished sleeping! There's really too much for me to cover after i've read the quick list of news my people provided.

It seems that you are wrong, you don't know internal circumstances and relations, and what is going on in these people's heads. This is rapid development of a higher priority, it is already a major concern and Putin seems to be gathering forces. It is a legitimate threat for Russian people at a higher degree than Ukraine.

Kazakhstan terroristic cells are currently fighting against army units near Almaty, Kazakhstan president has called for CSTO's help. Rebels now are vely well armed and seems to be organising for future - we spotted a video of looting weapon storages and identified that now they have access RPG-7 rounds among them. Social networks are full of messages of threats for Russian people, saying that
"we are almost done here, Russian scum be prepared. We know every one's address and will come for you very soon".

Russian Foreign Affairs ministry just now issued a statement for all Russian citizens in Kazakhstan to stock up provisions and find shelter ASAP.

I am getting more and more messages about possible readying deployments from Russian airborne forces and airforce.

Also, UVB-76 (buzzer radio) has changed a marker and is confirmed to be operationg at a different regime. Never saw that one too.
