Tech only makes up 8% of the entire workforce. I think you might be viewing this from inside a bubble.
Absolutely if a person has the educational aptitude to develop SW or hardware then go for it. But that is not reality not all people are predisposed or have the mathematical abilities for these fields.
So your examples are not applicable to the workforce or economy as a whole.
Some industries or sectors are much more driven by capital purchasing requirements. And less dependent on highly skilled labor it’s just a fact.
The economic value is stored in the investors and owners previous profit gains.
Is a owner who has labored for 25 years and has been accountable for the financial management legal exposure and market risk of their business expected to share equally the profits of someone who has been there for 2 years?
These things are real.
And lest we forget all of those horrible corporations who don’t pay there employees enough. It is many of those same corporations that make almost everyone’s 401k’s or retirement plans.
You legitly don't need math to be in SW/HE unless you go down a direct path. I'm not saying it needs to be a 100% split, but workers who go above and provide better production should be rewarded: most aren't, especially within trades. Not many people want a 401k or a retirement plan nowadays because it's a scam. If you take 6 months to educate yourself on the stock market or any financial panning at all you can beat a 401k/retirement plan which keeps you locked into a singular business. 401k/retirement plans are a scam that try to keep you stuck at a place, and if you read the fine print of an employment contract you'd see it.

When we negate the life of our employees, especially the ones who are in a job that provides a foundation for other jobs, we are killing our own economy. You can't have the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer unless you want a problem on your hand. Sure the rich should be able to get "richer", but the poor or 50% need to be able to afford food, living, and entertainment else we have a problem that is fundamental to the human experience. This is why anti-work and people protesting about work is getting worse, especially retail/food/amazon/train people.
Almost every platform you look at you only see business owners ranting and raving about profits and how good they are doing, you don't see many business owners bitching about how hard it is to own and run a buisness. You see workers hitching and complaining about how hard it is to live day to day and make money, you see very little workers bragging about how easy life is and how much they make and how easy it is to survive.

Not only did he overpay for twitter and is now hurting financially because of his buyout of twitter but him screwing up so bad by losing all the advertising has made it more impossible for Musk by the day to keep sinking his fortune on a sinking ship.

So disappointing. Like watching a 11 year old child run a muck in a fine china shop. Cringing to see his public meltdowns too. But somehow Twitter has a chance? Lol
I don't know. Isn't that what they said abut everything Musk has accomplished?

No. They called him naive. But this isn't naive. His recent decisions have been disastrous for him and Twitter financially. Instead of owning his mistakes he is having a public meltdown like a 11 year old child who seems content sinking everything he has put into it over what? 🤦‍♂️

And there’s the rub. I don’t believe Musk was ever “naive”. He sets his sights on a goal, chaos ensues everywhere,
Dust settles, mission accomplished.

Not sure how you expect him to come out of this. No advisers means no businesses, not like Musk can keep pouring in capital out of his own pocket to keep a failed plan going. Not to mention it Apple goes through with removing Twitter app from their store too would be the cherry on the cake.

This might be a way:
It would be insane if it turns out @elonmusk had a long game of buying Twitter- knowing apple & Android would drop him- to launch a secret phone he had made two years ago, making his $44B Twitter investment into a $300B phone company..

Just a thought.
With some interesting comments.

I'm sorry but he can't get into the phone game. Microsoft failed in getting into phone market, same with google, ect. He can't hope to muster out Android or Apple from the phone market if Microsoft, Google, and many more companies have failed to do so who also have the means for it more then Musk does and failed in getting into market.

You also expect him to sink even more money that takes away from his profitable businesses? He's already sunk a fortune on Twitter. He is rich but his wallet is not limitless. He has investors and other businesses to appease/uphold. Not just his failed venture with Twitter.

Did Apple say that?
Yes they are setting themselves up for it. Or highly contemplating how they would do it. For example Apple has said today that if they would remove Twitter it would have to be done under the name of "harmful". Meaning the app is or is potentially harmful to users.

If apple is already thinking on how they would legally do it shows they are quite serious about it.

Makes offer of buy my phone and have free service for a x years to other phones on my network. Might have an effect then.

I'll circle around again:

You expect him to sink even more money that takes away from his other actually profitable businesses? He's already sunk a fortune on Twitter. He is rich but his wallet is not limitless.

He has investors, stock holders, and other businesses to appease/uphold. Not just his venture with Twitter.

I didn't say it was sane but just a crazy marketing plan that he might consider or try. Ego could be his downfall.

I am sure that PRC CCP's Xi Jinping, Russia''s Vladimir Putin, and numerous other enemies of free speech are applauding this development. After all, they also have strong opinions on silencing speech they would consider to be "harmful." I wonder how many who believe we are fighting for freedom in Ukraine, are also taking stock of the growing institutional threat against freedom in the United States of America? Apple wants to silence free speech if a USG agency deems a social media app to be "harmful," if there is criticism of it, or if there are views that disagree with it. How many foreign war "freedom fighters" see this as OK, because it helps in working to silence any criticism. Then we have, from the DOJ and FBI Intelligence Agency, a successful court conviction of "seditious conspiracy." USA keeps working to become the new USSR. But in the USA, the efforts to silence free speech and criminalize individuals based on intelligence agency charges will backfire. All it will do is breed a generation of contempt and defiance. 🦇
