Taiwan-China | 2022

It is the U.S. that is causing the crisis over Taiwan. Not that the U.S. is supporting Taiwan, but because the U.S. has been completely wishy-washy over Taiwan's status.

Either:
  1. Taiwan is an independent country and needs to be fully supported and defended completely. Or,
  2. Taiwan is a part of China, the U.S. needs to acknowledge that and get out, as China can do whatever it wants with its own territory including invade and suppress.
But crimany, pick a side!

I think the side is very clear and we have not been wishy washy. For the leader or the house and many many congressmen/woman have been there and talked to Taiwans president. FFS we sell them weapons... If high level visits and selling weapons doesn't show what side we are on idk what does...

We just have not said "officially" we support their independence. But our actions should clearly show one what side we are on. If people can't see it or get the message that is on them. But is is very clear we support their democracy/independence. We just don't say so publicly to prevent China from throwing a grade A bitch fit or start a war.

That meant nothing.

But we have said publicly that we believe in One China.

No. Not at all. If the U.S. supports Taiwan's independence, the U.S. needs to act like it. They should be building up forces, preparing Taiwan for war (they have not), and not letting China get away with a 1/10 of the stuff China has been doing.

Everything the U.S. has done has sent a signal that U.S. has no intention of defending Taiwan against an invasion. That any support the U.S. gives will be minimal and easily repelled after a ship or two is sunk.

Very similar how Israel doesn't deny or confirm they have nuclear weapons out of ambiguity even though we all know Israel has nukes. Same with US Taiwan relations. We should all know America supports Taiwan freedom but on a low key level to not start problems with China.

I don't agree. Will only lead to Taiwans demise or invasion. Delicate situation that requires ambiguity from the US. Meaning we neither confirm nor deny we are allies with Taiwan to prevent triggering China into war...
This does really help US. Because if China does invade Taiwan we will not get dragged in or get into a shooting match with China.

With ambiguity the US will be able to easily step back and say to China no we are not allies don't shoot us please as to not get involved if a war does ultimately go down in Taiwan.

Another plus about ambiguity while we appease China publicly we can ""low key"" keep supporting Taiwan, sending them weapons, aid, and get them ready for war without getting "involved" or provoking China to war.

With ambiguity over Taiwan we can have our cake and eat it too! 😉

This is the same reason why Russia is halfway across Ukraine, we exude uncertainty and indecision which belies weakness. The same way we should have dropped peacekeeping defenders into Ukraine while Russia was building up on the border is the same we should have just came out ages ago that we have a defensive policy with Taiwan in case of an attack. Whether its to insure democracy, secure chips, underseas resources or free passage through the straights or all of the above. Everyone respected Trump because he was an unknown factor and just made decisions that he stuck by, there were no uncertainties just the facts of what he would do in any situation. Now it's too late and no one believes that doddering old fool biden has any decision making prowess besides what the handlers feed him. Indecision is what will kick off ww3 not the commitment to follow through on the projection of power we have displayed in the past.

China expert warns US on 'edge of war,

take that with a grain of salt fox news is like a gossip mag they tell the story there way not always the true way. can you find a different source then fox news.......

Sometimes i think: Do a group or person in the WH want to escalate the situation between taiwan and china to start a war?
Definitely yes. Because they and their children will not go to die in combat. They will only go to make money on military contracts.

Yes I totally agree 🤣🤣 it is plainly obvious that money can be made selling weapons etc to Taiwan. As far as categorization of support for Taiwan or simply making money are 2 different things. In reality 1 of the real concerns America obviously has about Taiwan is alot to do with that exact issue again. Chips production for American weapons. 🤣😂🤣🙄🤷🏻‍♂️

Totally agree here. If we’d had put a platoon of troops, let’s say to train Ukrainian troops, Russia would’ve thought twice about invading. Send a few to Taiwan, instead of these political naysayers, to train the Taiwanese. China would prob just throw another tantrum because we’re in the way again.

Option 3. Taiwan is the Democratic China that the USA backs fully and claims the one China policy ( like Korea there is a backed US part and there is a communist part )

What we mean by one China is we want the mainland to replicate Taiwan not the other way around. Only when it serves our interests are we OK with it. We just need to come out and label the governments (not country or people) of Russia and China as terrorist regimes similar to North Korea. The UN needs to expel and then vote on corrective action.

Minuteman III test launch showcases readiness

The 50 year old Minuteman III will be replaced by the LGM 35-A.
MIRV warheads, blast yield
300 kt (W87-0) or 475 kt (W87-1)

It is planned for the Sentinel missile to deploy in 2028,
with W87-0 warheads initially being fitted to the system and W87-1 warheads being fitted from 2030 onward.
This affords the air force a small amount of flexibility if the W87-1 is delayed.

I think we should follow through and take a page out of Russias handbook doctrine of renting / building a friendly semi permanent port in a friendly country like they did in Syria. Right away it pretty much assures attacks in the area are tantamount to attacking Russia hence a detriment to hostile attacks. Taiwan would have our port as a deadbolt that while easily destroyed would serve as a tripwire, give the US the grounds to respond and it's game on. Taiwan is too important for the US to hand over to China even if it's on their doorstep I think we are obligated to defend them to the end or suffer a faster (total) decline to our power in that area, ie not being be able to transit, China bullying the rest of the surrounding countries and annexing the rest of the waters as per their bullshit "dotted line" of ownership and just getting fucked out of chip production and rare earths under the water etc etc. Either China signs a fucking paper saying they won't invade and respect current status quo of Taiwan maintaining independent sovereign status or the US needs to step up to the plate with a bat. We have seen what we have in store for us by sitting on the porch and not doing shit in Ukraine, unless you actually think sending equipment to Taiwan in the event of an invasion by China will have any real effect besides postponing the inevitable chinese victory by a few days. Just concede Taiwan and get the fuck out ? I dont think thats an option for America, that sounds like something Biden would do , another afghanistan fuck up.
