Trump's Tariff's - Updates

I have witnessed this firsthand. My wife and I have friends in Texas who we visit regularly/. One time they were getting a deck built and had two Mexicans working for them. Out of curiosity I asked how much it was costing them to hire them. Well, they were working for a wage that where I live for one worker would be three times what they were paying for two. Apparently, there is a corner in the town where they live where the migrants gather every morning and all you have to do is go there and tell them what kind of work you want done and the ones who are skilled at doing it would hop in the back of the truck for a day's work.
and we are blaming immigrants again when capitalism rewards this behavior?

When you go to Walmart you don't buy the premium chips, you typically buy the Walmart brand. If you go to a best buy you're likely going to buy an insignia-branded tv due to savings.

Capitalism applauds getting the cheaper option if it's the same quality. Who's going to pay 1k for a roof/deck, when they can pay 250 at the same equality? When I purchase art for my house I avoid Americans. Work that costs me $120 from Russia or $360 in France would cost me beyond 1k+ in America.

This is a systematic issue... Capitalism applauds savings and making more yoy, not what you do for your local community, not what you're doing for your state. It's what can you do to undercut the next guy and how well you can advertise that product on how you're undercutting the other guy. Look at god-forsaken napkin companies doing this exact thing. They are all the same, but they advertise how they can "beat leading brands" at the same price of leading brands... lol..

that's not explaining anything in concise detail besides saying immigrants are the ONLY problem. It's a surface-level issue that's used to gather people around a singular point. My statement encompasses many different factors that are leading to the issue. Beyond the tariffs, beyond the individual level. this isn't a singular group's issue. It's an outright societal issue that's beyond the minute topic.

I simply want you to not blame an individual grouping for the issues in society and look at the structure or framework that's causing it.

The immigrants aren't the issue, it's how the workweek is no longer supplementing a basic living thus Americans choose not to work as hard. You can see exactly that with the youth workforce and their statements on the economy. Following that companies will bitch and complain nobody wants to work for low wages. Immigrants will fill up 1-3 of these jobs because if we are being honest most have a lot of kids and they don't want their kids to die. most Americans will do the same if they aren't solo/duo (relationship). When you have a child before financial independence you subject yourself to the aforementioned issue of shitty work and having to deal with it, instead of being able to remove yourself from it via non-compliance or killing yourself.

Next, what happens in the upper level is in our system you are rewarded for cutting cost (look at elon, checks and balances are being slashed). You can cut the price of this material by 50% who gives a fuck if it causes cancer somehow in 20 years... it's cheap now here's a contract. oops, we have no research on this area of study (keep in mind this still happens and it sickens me). You'll have a company approach you like "Yeah I got all this data, yeah we tested nuclear exposure, yeah we tested complications on the human heart if we do blank this way, we tested the data on mental health awareness and workforce retention and increased profits/self-suicide date...oh yeah we did testing on suicide causation with number of children being a determining factor within the low wage population". Yet, many won't tell you how they get the data of the more sick activities. people just want the data and ethics are thrown out the window 9/10.

So when we are looking to DOGE things out how are you expecting jobs to increase, or are you want the low-wage jobs to increase? it'll just make those jobs have a smaller group fight for those roles thus making people undercut each other and let the company profit. that's why educated work is still available for STEM/Non-liberal arts based degrees, and it pays really good. the reason why many people can't get that is due to a shitty ass family that boots them at 18 or won't offer them some type of financial help/support to go to college (as the child goes and works a job or so) because it's beyond hard to work fulltime and do a stem/non-la degree.

Beautiful point: The US military... offers about 25k bonuses- 50k bonuses for NUKE over 6 years: aka not even 20k yoy bonus for a in demand field that requires a security clearance and at the same time you're not pulling over 80k a year. A highly technical thing and they are nice enough to pay you shitty ass base pay plus 50k over 6 years? What about infantry, 25k bonus baby..WOAH 25k over 4 years. The US military offers 80k bonus over 6 years for cyber-related degrees. yet you're still going to make under the industry average as even a fresher.

When the us military is also experiencing the issue, in fact they are likely getting it worse due to not meeting recruitment goals and still being unable to pay something competitive even when "the workforce goes up when the available applicants goes down".

let me highlight the fact, what you're pulling in the military is like 50k (if you have that 80k bonus) starting as a cyber based role (basic it is not included in this because they don't really give a bonus for basic it aka 25 b-based roles). Meanwhile, in the industry, you'd make and likely clear 110k in hicol, and 80k in local.

Basic math here:

(military) 50*6 = 300k (and I"m likely overshooting.
private hicol = 110*6 = 660k (oh baby private doubled the pay).
private local = 80*6= 480k (Oh wow an extra 180k....)

not even the us military who's strapped can compete.

So where is the issue TORCH. The military isn't paying well, the private market isn't paying well. When can we admit we are in late-stage capitalism and the majority of our way to success is :

Being born into a good family who's not poor, who won't boot you at 18, and not being trapped to work in low-end work due to the aforementioned family situation, and being able to attain a degree and not fuck around and get it in some stupid liberal arts degree.

You have to look at all indicators for the issue, you can't just blame a group when even areas where you can't really have immigrants is fucked up.

The issue isn't tariffs, the issue isn't immigrants. It's the way our economic system is based and now we are feeling the pain of it because most people can't afford the basics due to rising costs which are caused by nobody wanting to do the lower end work here.

when all you see is a % on the stock market and the board makes a decision on that % and fucks up the economy/working conditions for a few extra % a year... when they are ALREADY BALLING THEIR ASS OFF yeah... there's something fucked up going on. Colleges are trying to combat this with ethics classes injected into degrees, but why will the youth do it, if the elders aren't already? Sure you can slowly cull this mentality, but it will take a lot of generations. The issue is the economic system and what the SYSTEM values. It's not immigrants.

The entire concept of capitalism is rotten and the door is getting kicked in just like many ideologies before ours. When you remove the idea of human life is special, when you remove the idea that if someone is working 40+ hours a week and following your system yet they get treated like shit and can't have a good life in your system... people get pissed off and your workforce will selectively choose not to work anymore or participate in activities which boost the economy. When the feedback loop breaks it's hard to continue the spiral upward and that feedback loop has broken at the base: giving a good life to those work and creating fear with "god" that if you kill yourself you're going to have eternal damnation.
Wow. You called me out in the 11th paragraph, I think, of your comment. In CAPITALS too! That was actually a great idea to help spot it.

Truth is I scan text looking for Keywords and my call sign. I do not read 20 paragraphs (I’m guessing) of anything in a comment section. I probably should, but I don’t. Call it a personal failing.

Perhaps it would be better to argue one’s point sooner (IMO). I’m suffering from ADD and lose focus in mid-sentence.

I’m still blaming out of control spending running up a epic deficit and an uncontrolled Invasion of almost 30 million low skilled workers.

My 2¢ YMMV.

Nah you mean you can’t print money forever and have no boarder controls.

Send the federal deficit Interest payments to Trump haters.

It's because to understand the core of an issue you need to talk about aspects that stack into it, sure you can blame immigrants for like 1% of it, but most of it is systematic, but I understand. reading/reading comprehension and math is really tough in the United States, those are lacking too.

Bill Ackman’s take on Trumps tariffs,
Shock and Awe,
Willing to negotiate
Don’t bet against Trump

The idea that Wall Street and investors are opposed to the President’s efforts to bring back our industrial base by leveling the tariff playing field is false. Our trading partners have taken advantage of us for decades after tariffs were no longer needed to help them rebuild their economies after WWII.

Trump’s strategy is not without risk, but I wouldn’t bet against him. The more that markets support the President and his strategy, the higher the probability that he succeeds, so a stable hand on the trading wheel is a patriotic one.

Trump cares enormously about our economy and the stock market as a measure of his performance. If the current strategy works, he will continue to execute on it. If it needs to be tweaked or changed, I expect he will make the necessary changes. Based on the early read, his strategy appears to be working. Let’s help him succeed. It’s the least we can do.

Be calm and let him renegotiate the trading environment for an actual free market

Seems French business leaders disagree with Macron
We’re not reducing investment in the US……
If the tariffs continue we’ll move production to the US. Cheaper energy, and favorable taxes.
Seems French business men agree with Ackman. Not Macron and the financial sycophants

And this; foreign investment into US manufacturing reshoring jobs.
It’s just too bad they’re not cheap labor jobs that could be done overseas.

Us electricity is cheaper, not the employees, or COL comparatively.

The SWE jobs will bring a lot of money and good jobs, but the plant fab jobs not really, they we've had issues with our plant fabs in the past in America. The reason is the work hours, and the pay we offer.

Ah the smell of winning!

Mexico’s president is excited about Mexico’s preferential trade agreement with the US and looks forward to working with President Trump

Yes and get ready for some graphic advertising about the effects of drugs. Something else Trump learnt from her . He was very very impressed with their anti-drug advertising.

They do the same thing with cans too. Run a batch of cans with one label then switch labels and run another batch of the same thing. A can of peas is just a can of peas. :ROFLMAO:

There's a pill for that. ;) Thing is allot of them are not unskilled. Those two Mexicans I talked about did a really good job. Worked all day in the Texas heat in July. All they asked for was a glass of water. I have no problem with migrants. I just want them to be vetted and come here legally. It should not take years for that to happen. IMO

Mark Levin: This is the most 'aggressive' effort at pro-America growth in history

I just tripple checked now every page. Your confusing me with someone else. I agree with you. I don't use the term fascist. Even durring my hot political days on here I use words like authoritarian or autocratic to describe Trump and his actions NOT fascist. Fascist is a played out word, definitely agree. ;)
You did post a video about it AFAIK from Vlad Vexler, I think.

Here’s the problem with these to examples
It is not blaming the immigrants, it is politicians not enforcing laws and common sense national immigration policy.

what we have had today and last half century at least in American economic theory / application is not capitalism.
So are their injustices and disparities absolutely. It is not the fault of capitalism
