North Korea launched a likely intermediate-range ballistic missile into the East Sea (Sea of Japan) Sunday afternoon, according to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS). The missile was launched from around Pyongyang at 2:55 p.m. and is “presumed” to be intermediate-range, the JCS assessed. It splashed down after flying around 621 miles (1,000 kilometers).
“The ROK military immediately detected, tracked and monitored the North Korean missile as soon as it was launched, and have closely shared the information with the U.S. and Japan” the JCS added later in the evening. South Korea, the U.S. and Japan implemented a real-time missile information system last month to better detect, track and monitor North Korean projectiles. The flight time was under 12 minutes, according to Japanese authorities, who also assessed that the missile had splashed down before 3:11 p.m. after a launch was detected at 2:57 p.m.

North Korea said it has tested a new solid-fuel missile fitted with a hypersonic warhead as it continued efforts to develop more powerful, harder-to-detect weaponry.
Detected by neighbouring Japan and South Korea, the launch was designed to test the reliability of new multi-stage, high-thrust solid-fuel engines and an intermediate-range hypersonic manoeuvrable controlled warhead, the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Monday.
The missile flew towards the East Sea, travelling approximately 1,000km (621 miles), Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement on Sunday, adding that authorities in Seoul, Washington, DC and Tokyo were analysing the specifications. Japan’s Defence Ministry said its maximum altitude was at least 50km (30 miles).

But there's no evidence of the hypersonic warhead, is there? I didn't see that they tested it in the article unless I missed it.
No, this test was about the solid-fuel missile, but they claimed it carried a hypersonic warhead. The DPRK tests of their hypersonic warheads were carried out a couple of years ago. See...

North Korea has scrapped several government bodies tasked with promoting reconciliation and reunification with South Korea as authoritarian leader Kim Jong Un warned that his secretive country does not seek to avoid war.
In a speech to North Korea’s rubber-stamp parliament, the Supreme People’s Assembly, Kim said unification with South Korea is no longer possible and called for a constitutional amendment to change the status of South Korea to a separate, “hostile country”, the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said on Tuesday.

South Korea — North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said his country would no longer pursue reconciliation with South Korea and called for rewriting the North’s constitution to eliminate the idea of shared statehood between the war-divided countries, state media said Tuesday.
The historic step to discard a decades-long pursuit of a peaceful unification, which was based on a sense of national homogeneity shared by both Koreas, comes amid heightened tensions where the pace of both Kim’s weapons development and the South’s military exercises with the United States have intensified in a tit-for-tat.
