(CENTCOM) forces successfully completed a heavy wave of strikes against Iran in response to yesterday's attempted missile attacks on U.S. forces.

CENTCOM assets struck dozens of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran, including military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense sites, and maritime capabilities. The strikes aimed to further diminish threats posed by Iran and its proxies to American forces, commercial shipping, and neighboring Gulf countries.

Exclusive-Iran to get Chinese shoulder-launched missile systems in weeks

“Iran is expected to receive within weeks a first shipment out of up to 400 Chinese-made shoulder-fired air-defence missile launchers…”

IMO
That costs about $70 million all in.

If they DAMAGE one Aircraft it pays for the entire buy. And they will. They are stupid easy to use except nighttime (they still work just not simple to use).

This is bad news for the US.

The U.S. conducted a two hour strike wave against dozens of IRGC sites inside Iran from approximately 03:00 to 05:00 regional time.

CENTCOM said command centers, missile & UAV facilities, coastal surveillance and defense positions, and Iranian maritime capabilities were targeted in retaliation for attempted missile attacks against U.S. forces. More than 50,000 U.S. personnel remain at heightened readiness.

Hormozgan medical authorities said a residential unit on Qeshm Island was also struck, with two bodies recovered, two children wounded and another child missing. CENTCOM has not released target by target results, and the cause of the residential impact remains unconfirmed.

Kuwait’s Defense Ministry attributed a fatal strike against a Chinese company’s building in northern Kuwait to Iran, reporting one worker killed and severe material damage.

Kuwait did not identify the company, precise location, weapon used or intended target. Tehran has not claimed the specific impact, while Kuwait’s armed forces said protective measures remain in force.

The IRGC said two unnamed oil tankers attempted to use an “unsafe” southern lane through the Strait of Hormuz overnight with U.S. aircraft support, but were forced to retreat, with one allegedly suffering a severe fire.

No vessel identities, flags, crew details or independent maritime confirmation were provided. The IRGC said Hormuz would not generally reopen while U.S. military pressure continued and warned states assisting Washington that they could face retaliation.

Iran separately reported that the first Qatari LNG cargo in approximately three weeks passed through an Iran designated route, indicating selective passage rather than a general reopening.

UPDATE: Egypt’s Cabinet said a preliminary investigation determined that a UAV caused the fire involving a regasification vessel and a storage vessel at Damietta port. The fire was contained without casualties.

Egypt did not identify the drone, launch point, responsible actor or intended target, and the investigation remains open. The finding confirms UAV involvement but not who was responsible or whether either vessel was deliberately targeted.

🚫FIRST CLAIM: The IRGC (again) claims free and open routes through the Strait of Hormuz are dangerous for commercial vessels.
✅FACT: The immediate dangers posed to commercial vessels and their civilian crews are the IRGC’s verbal threats and attempted attacks.
🚫SECOND CLAIM: The IRGC claims Three U.S. F-35 stealth fighters and three other aircraft were destroyed during a recent Iranian attack on an American air base.
✅FACT: No U.S. aircraft were destroyed or damaged in recent attempted Iranian attacks. All missiles and drones were intercepted or failed to reach targeted areas.

🚫THIRD CLAIM: Iranian state media is reporting that a commercial oil tanker, M/T Nora, has broken through the U.S. blockade.
✅FACT: The commercial vessel has not broken through America’s steel wall blockade. More than 20 U.S. warships, hundreds of aircraft, and thousands of service members remain vigilant and continue to fully enforce the blockade.

Not ideal. It will be good to gather combat data on these though.
China is denying this claim.

China on Thursday denied a media report that Iran was expected to receive an initial batch of up to 400 Chinese-made shoulder-fired air defence missile launchers within weeks, calling the report "not true and not factual at all."

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning told a regular news briefing in Beijing that the country has made "its position clear on relevant issues on multiple occasions."

"The reports are not true and not factual at all," she said, emphasising that China "always works for peace and the end of the conflict."

Iran announced a multi base retaliation campaign against U.S. facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait & Jordan.

Iran’s regular army said one way UAVs targeted generators, navigation systems and support buildings at Shaikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, followed by hangars, satellite communications and warehouses at Ahmed al-Jaber Air Base in Kuwait.

The IRGC separately claimed two UAV hangars and a fuel tank were destroyed at Kuwait’s Ali al-Salem Air Base. The reported effects in Bahrain and Kuwait remain unverified. Jordan reported intercepting five Iranian missiles.

At Jordan’s al-Azraq Air Base, the IRGC claimed three U.S. F-35s were destroyed, three damaged and personnel killed.

CENTCOM denied any aircraft losses and said incoming missiles and UAVs were intercepted or failed to reach their targets.

Saudi Arabia began forming a multinational maritime coalition for the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb & Gulf of Aden.

Fourteen states Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Yemen, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Sudan, Djibouti & Somalia back the founding initiative. Representatives of 43 countries and the EU attended the preparatory meeting, but the prospective founders must complete domestic accession procedures and the coalition is not yet operational.

Saudi Arabia would host its headquarters, joint command and control and maritime operations center for intelligence sharing, planning, exercises and potential joint operations.

Ansar Allah leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi warned of a “blockade for blockade” response and claimed 16 ships had been forced back and Saudi reconnaissance UAVs downed. Those operational claims remain uncorroborated.
