It’s a game of chicken. The US relies on minerals from Canada about 47%
Canadas exports to US account for 60-70+% of canadas total exports.
This is less a trade war and a political gambit on upcoming US elections.
Canada has significant quotas and tariffs on US agriculture and steal and auto parts imports.
Pick a side there is no moral high ground here just economic self interest.
Otherwise known as trade negotiations, not a foreign policy collapse. No matter the rhetoric.
