Canada & US Trade Tentions

It’s a game of chicken. The US relies on minerals from Canada about 47%
Canadas exports to US account for 60-70+% of canadas total exports.

This is less a trade war and a political gambit on upcoming US elections.

Canada has significant quotas and tariffs on US agriculture and steal and auto parts imports.
Pick a side there is no moral high ground here just economic self interest.
Otherwise known as trade negotiations, not a foreign policy collapse. No matter the rhetoric.
And no the US is not going to invade Canada.

CBC just aired a version of the Canada–U.S. trade story Canadians rarely hear.
Trade expert Kelly Ann Shaw says Washington was prepared to ease tariffs on steel, aluminum, lumber and autos. The price? Canada dropping retaliatory measures involving alcohol, dairy and autos so both sides could “start with a fresh, clean slate.” That deal collapsed. Her warning now: buckle up for months of friction. And one detail cuts through the rhetoric: Roughly 95% of Canadian imports still enter the U.S. tariff-free under USMCA. This was never simply “America attacking Canada. It was a negotiation over retaliation, leverage and trust.

Is Carny and Ford working for the best interests of canada or the eu globalists? Why does Alberta even want to succeed?
In fact, Alberta has no intention of joining the USA, you took articles or it's a tiny group that wants that, I could do the same for California and several northeastern states of the USA, which want to leave the USA.

From what I see I don't think Alberta necessarily want to become a US State but their own little country.

I’m happy for them. Self determination is a giant pressure relief valve. Yesterday Canadians voted. Now they have reduced some angst, and as a result, will continue to produce high quality maple syrup and Hallmark movies.

🇨🇦😇🇺🇸
LOL, maple syrup is Québécois, and Hallmark—
The global headquarters of Hallmark Cards, Inc. is located in Kansas City, Missouri, in the United States. It has nothing to do with Alberta.

My point was that the entire country of Canada has exercised relief valve, and that should lower tensions by being allowed to vote.

The very vast majority of Hallmark movies are shot in Canada.

<Btw my cousin in Winnipeg didn’t think it was funny either. Oh well>

No, only Albertans voted; it was a vote exclusively for Alberta. Your cousin didn’t vote either—he’s from Manitoba.
For your information: Vancouver is in British Columbia, not Alberta.
I’m not offended by your failed jokes, which stem from your lack of knowledge about Canada.
