Surely they can down one and check it? All this technology and cannot track user in real time? All these recon planes up and useless against drone origin, tracking , and operating sources? Yet over 50 yrs ago + we could communicate to the moon while currently in lose phone reception. Yeah I guess technology isn't at the stage I'd expect by now. I thought they could track cb users. I guess drone technology is far more advanced than military capability to deal with them short of shooting them down one way or another. 🤔😉

I believe they know. They've been watching Russian cargo vessels in the area like hawks ever since.
They can't down the drone because they don't know if it'd come down and hit civilians. It's less risky to just let it pass than risk it hitting a school or hospital.

Well obviously not coming from offshore than otherwise they could before it reaches so far inland. These recon planes should also be able to film them either coming or going. Shit satellite systems are bragged about all the time. Not one can move without someone knowing about it apparently. Not so convincing now is it.😉🤣🤣😂 like I said what was the official explanation of American drones issues? 😉🤔

Who benefits from the drones? If NATO gets involved Ukraine benefits. If NATO doesn't get involved Russia benefits. If popular support in Europe increases for some sort of intervention in Ukraine increases the EU scum bags benefit. Many different parties could benefit from this but for different reasons. Therefore without actual proof anything else is just a guess. Without proof, confidence goes down with each additional party that could benefit.

Well let’s look at it this way, the odds of NATO getting involved in Ukraine over drones is pretty slim, that’s a win for Russia. European citizens are already wary of sending money to Ukraine, and actions like this make them want to worry about home defense rather than Ukraines, so that’s a win for Russia. Europeans are worried over their governments not being able to protect them and calling them incompetent, so that’s a win for Russia. Lastly, Russian sympathetic parties will likely gain votes as people want to try to get along with Russia at all costs, so that’s another win for Russia. This is the shit Russia has been doing for a while, they like to create chaos that they have deniability from that stops short of getting them into a war they know they can’t win.

A direct war between Russia and the west = no one wins. Not they can't win. The west can't either . Hence why it hasn't happened.

German interior minister confirms "drone swarms" of fixed wing drones over northern Germany on the night from thursday to friday

@DarkNoon @Charmender

I have gone and checked the press conference held about an hour ago, the Minister spoke of drone swarms and specifically mentioned that its not "only" FPV drones for civilian uses but fixed-wing drones.

Is there a source for this exact wording from the german IM or is it the usual liberal interpretation of X accounts and media?

Always, always, always post your sources. Even if your re-using the same one over and over.

This is a note to everyone. It is the forums rules. Its to avoid exactly these run-on discussions over verification. Thank you. 🙏

Yes, the origin could be Ukrainian. I believe it's the same as this:
"The identity of the perpetrator(s) of this sabotage is still the subject of speculation. However, as of March 2023, most press sources reveal that Western intelligence agencies suspect a Ukrainian commando of being responsible for the attack."

Would you translate this for us please?

"Nord stream gas pipe sabotage

Oui, the origin (of the sabotage) could be ukrainian. I think it's the same thing as :
[the identity of the author.s of this sabotage is still a subject of speculation. However, in march 2023, majority of press sources reveals that occident intelligences agencies suspects a ukrainian commando team to be responsible of the attack"

Here, occicent intelligences agencies means the CIA etc... and equivalent of other nations, i wasn't sure how to translate that.

What I don’t understand is why are we speculating so fervently one way or the other.
We simply don’t know yet.
Could be a EU nation state
Russia
Ukraine
Islamist
Could be hacker activist who think drones are cool
CIA

Even the rational of qui bono doesn’t really produce a clear indication.

The flights are mostly random,
Seem to be targeted towards coastal areas.
They use navigation lights, so not stealth.
Their flown over areas they would likely be spotted
That indicates a goal of sowing confusion
There is also the possibility of copycat flights just to watch the public flail.

Someone has a pretty good idea. Drones would need RF input and control. An ISR military flight could Hoover up anything like that.
Maybe the question should be who benefits from leaving the origins ambiguous.

Cause it’s fun.

What can I tell you @Fascist lite ?
Today AMS airport had to shut down one of it’s runways for 45 minutes due to someone denouncing having spotted a drone over the airfield.

Police and the authorities could not find any trace of a drone or evidence that there has been one actually.

The news got on the first “pages” of many of the news agencies in Europe.
On the fine print at the bottom of the page, on some of the articles you could read:
“this is nothing new, it’s the 22nd event in 2025”.

These incidents have always occurred around Europe even before the Russian war.
Not saying that they cannot be occurring more frequently now.
And for sure I cannot prove that there’s not Russia behind this.
Could be Russia, could be Ukraine, could be the average idiot that just likes to spread panic, or groups of them.
Could be terrorists.
We don’t have a statistics given the fact that this crap never got to the media and is usually never worth of attention.

Just to give you an example, which cannot be verified cause I really can’t provide a source, at one of the airports (a minor one in Mediterranean Europe) that my company was using to ship freight, we had at least 5 events in 2018, which lead to an investigation that was inconclusive.

But after the drone incursion in Poland, which was real…most of this story about about Russia flying unidentified drones with localization lights over random airports in Denmark (which really doesn’t make any fuckin sense logically, politically, militarily speaking), is real bullshit over which the twitter and the media are just making profit.

That’s it.

As some people with real balls and brains said on this forum.
Start worrying once Russia moves huge quantities of military assets, or nuclear related stuff.
Until then…this is just porn for the average OSINT specialist.
