Their have been efforts by the MAP community to attach themselves to the LGBQT. Some in that community have denounced it but not all.

An interesting and not so subtle definition of terms is presented on this particular website.
A PaedophIlia is anyone attracted to a pre-pubescent child.
A MAP is one attracted to adolescent minors.

I here a lot about can’t hate can’t judge etc. By in large that generally is a good rule to follow.
However that doesn’t mean societies do not have Norms.
Norms are established by community cultural agreement.
In many nations the accepted age of consent for an adolescent and an adult is much lower than in the US.
That’s fine if it is what is normal and accepted for their culture. Child brides are also accepted in many other cultures as well as FMG. Should we adopt them into our social norm?

But what in reality does that have to do with the sexuality norms in the US.

Because a majority in the US still deems sexual activity between an adult and a minor as socially and legally wrong.
How or who is it to say it is not? You cannot blame that solely on any religious heritage. It simply is, you might not like it. Likely many will fault it on religious intolerance.
In reality it doesn’t matter. It’s the cultures choice, is it not.

What’s going on today regarding sexuality and sexual education in the US is a free for all. The most extreme forms of sexual aberration/ or freely given “choice”. Are being foisted and introduced to children and adolescents at ages where they have not even fully matured sexually as an adult.

15 years Ago beauty Pageant moms were dressing their pre-pubescent daughters up like adult dolls and marching them out on to stages to be graded upon their physical appearance.
By and large this activity was criticized by most as not helpful to the child’s self identity and healthy emotional growth.

Today we have mothers dressing their little boys up as drag queens. Or councilors and doctors giving and prescribing treatment plans of pre-adolescent and adolescent children to initiate or alter their normal bodies physical development.

If that makes me a hater we’ll hate me back.
We’ve gone from where arranged marriages of 14 year olds with adult males was illegal.
To one where now 14 year olds are being counseled on sexual transition or choice by adults other than their parents.

There is no logic in this and there is no future in it. There will be a normal social backlash to it and don’t be surprised or shocked when it happens.

If morality is up to the individual, then you must be okay with someone else's morality, even if it diverges from your own. So we are back to pedophilia being okay as long as it is okay with that individual's morality.

But we as a society moved away from it. We as a society determined that cruelty to animals is not acceptable. So again, in 3000 years we decide that animal cruelty is okay, will you be okay with it?

No because, I have my own core human values that my father taught me and his father taught him. Plus I won’t be alive in 3000 years. If you ever let society lead your life you should stop, you have a better chance of survival smoking 5 pounds of crack and jumping off a cliff.

It's only when many come together with the same morals do you see it become acceptable. Not talking pedophilia but anything really.

So you don't believe morality is up to the individual. And you don't believe morality is up to society.

Is morality up to God?

If not, then that leaves only one other option. You. You decide what is moral for yourself and others. Again, a lot of people believe this even if they won't admit it.

I don't think that is a good solution, given how fallible humans are.

I'll stick with Jesus. Love God and Love Your Neighbour. Hard to argue with that.

I agree. And this is probably where I begin to disagree with a lot of lgbtq people. I don’t think that kind of education material should be brought out until this kids are just about to graduate highschool, So if they really still feel like doing it, they will have the resources and ability to fund it themselves, instead of being goaded into it by affluent parents. It’s a big decision with clear psychological implications if you decide to reverse your transition. That’s why I agree with you that this should remain a serious development for teens to go through and it should be emphasized every step of the way.

Exactly. Jesus can be the solution when he decides to stop sipping martinis by the poolside up there and come down here and lord over us. Or whatever is supposed to happen. Until then we can only rely on the rule of law as set in our constitution. I hope dearly that we never end up with lawmakers trying to normalize pedophilia or legalize it. If that day ever comes I believe that the resounding amount of people in our country would take to the streets and go bat shit crazy real fast.

Not to derail the thread, but this question gets asked quite a lot. There has been a lot of speculation as to why he hasn't come yet.

God said that he reserves judgment not only to give time for people to repent, but also so that the full measure of their sin can be built up. So there is no question as to their judgment. (I can't recall the passage that says that. Someone else may remember.)

This is why Jesus hasn't come back yet. Because as bad as we are, we haven't done it all yet.

Again, which is why I think everyone in their right mind will go kick some lawmaker ass when that day comes. But it will never be because of Lgbtq people in general or straight people in general. It will be because of pedophiles that want to legalize pedophilia. Simple as that.
