Following this reasoning WW2 started with the ineffective and inconclusive end to WW1. Which started with the same unsatisfactory or inconclusive end to the Crimean war.

As far as 9/11 the only person who was 100% correct about its impact and result was OBL. For that matter 9/11 was a result of the Beirut barracks bombing. It was all the same players after all.

From the beginning I was unsure about the risk benefits of bombing Irans.
I can see and defend the potential benefits of seeing the IRGC replaced.

I just as clearly see all the risk associated with it. Both internationally and domestically.

I hope we are successful not only because I support Trumps direction. But I don’t want to see my nation be unsuccessful again.

there needed to be a clearly defined aim or success point. The administration has been coy or ambiguous about the goals.
It’s did not have to be regime change, simply smashing their military and making the cost of living to high for the IRGC.
Or the Hegelian approach to why attack Iran. Flip the script and change the rules of application of US military foreign power.

I suspect the Kurds have been reluctant to engage. I will not judge them they’ve been kicked around by everyone.

I ask myself at this stage of the “war” why does Iran still have a functional airport, port, or oil storage depot.

I fear what we will have to do to force a conclusion is beyond the patrician sensibilities of everyone with a voice in the west.

Remember that the rules of war are meaningless when only one side is expected to adhere to them. That is the west Achilles heal and why it is so hard for us to definitively win a war.
Everyone is blind to what had to be done to force Germany and Japan to capitulate. And I’m not just talking about Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
There were multiple bombing runs over German with 1000-1500 B-29’s each had a payload of 20000lb. For an average total bombing run or 24,000,000 lbs that’s twenty four Million pounds dropped in one day of operations.
 
Trump shifted it from Monday to Tuesday? Why? If he is that pissed then why not stick to the deadline?

I am not a betting Man but if we get to Tuesday it wouldn't surprise me he extends it for another week.

Now he is demanding the Strait to be open! I thought that was everyone else's problem? 🙄

I've noticed that the current administration is increasingly using God in their rhetoric. Pete Hegseth just alluded to this, stating that the pilot who was found was shot down (the plane) on Good Friday and found on Easter morning at sunrise, and Trump declared that God was on their side.

My opinion: God and war, a dangerous mix.

Any conflict based on religious pretext is dangerous, regardless of the deity involved. Humans have been killing each other over whose god has the biggest dick for thousands of years, then moved on to just using that as an excuse for killing each other when we became "civilized."

Wish the aliens would hurry up and invade the planet.
 
I don't think the pieces are quite in place yet for an invasion or landings into Iran with ground forces. Getting close though. I know President Trump has said he is going to rain hellfire on Iran if they don't open the strait. This is standard military tactics before any sort of landing or ground invasion. IMO

Not surprising considering the US' current foreign policy in the middle east, particularly with Israel, is influenced by American Evangelicalism/Dispensationalism.

Trump claimed that Iran could be "annihilated overnight," which, in his opinion, would cause enormous suffering for the Iranian people while the regime would be comfortably ensconced in their caves with water, food, electricity, and all the comforts.

What emotion does this evoke in you?
