You’d be surprised. She’s already making government policies alongside her brother, she is seated next to him, or stands in for him at events/meetings. She is as beloved as the brother.Would we? Would the North Korean culture accept a female leader?
I see where you are going with the female thing, but the people are so indoctrinated that they see the Kim dynasty as Gods almost. By extension, the sister is part of that dynasty. I think if the military leadership backs her, and holds a NK style military parade in her honor, the people would accept her, yes.
North Korea is also progressively (albeit slowly) attempting to find a place on the world stage. Despite the reclusiveness, and the subjugation of their people, it would be foreseen that the Brother’s final wish would be peace for the peninsula. He loves his people, he has cried at speeches to his people. They key to NK being accepted by the west, might just be a female leader….
